He was a man with a plan, a wig and Georgia Bulldogs pants. Dalton police are looking for the person who robbed a bank Monday afternoon.

The suspect, who said he was armed, entered the Regions Bank on Thornton Avenue around 1:30 p.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money, police spokesman Bruce Frazier said in the news release. He left with an undetermined amount of money, but apparently dropped some of it while fleeing on foot. Some of the money was recovered at the scene, police said.

The suspect is described as a male between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7. He was wearing a long, dark wig with a white and black hat, large sunglasses, a gray jacket, and red Georgia Bulldog sweatpants or pajama pants, police said. He also was carrying a black bag or purse.

A witness told police that a person matching the suspect’s description ran into a room at the nearby Downtown Motor Inn, but nobody was found.

Anyone with information on the case should contact Dalton police Detective Jason Bishop at 706-278-9085, ext. 214.
