Authorities are looking for an armed man who robbed a bank inside a Kroger in Union City on Wednesday, the FBI's Atlanta office announced.

A man with a handgun entered the Best Bank branch inside the Kroger in the 4500 block of Jonesboro Road around 3 p.m. and demanded money from a teller, the FBI said. He took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

The robber is described as a black male in his mid-40s, 6 feet tall and weighing 190 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark jacket or shirt, blue jeans, black gloves and a light-colored baseball-style hat, authorities said.

He is considered armed and dangerous, the FBI said.

Anyone with information on the case should call the Atlanta FBI at 404-679-9000 or the Union City Police Department at 770-964-1333.
