Man killed in Canton chicken plant accident
A man was killed Tuesday afternoon in an industrial accident at the Pilgrim’s Pride chicken plant in Canton, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. at the plant in the 600 block of Univeter Road.
Detectives are investigating, but believe the man’s death was an accident. No other information was immediately available.
The man’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
