Man found shot to death in middle of street

Atlanta police are investigating the shooting death of a 27-year-old man found lying in the street late Saturday night.

Officers discovered the man just before midnight in the 1200 block of Metropolitan Avenue in southeast Atlanta. The victim appeared to have been shot at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene, APD spokesman John Chafee said

Investigators have no suspects, nor do they know why the man was shot, Chafee said.
