A 47-year-old Cherokee County man was found shot to death late Sunday inside his home near Woodstock, authorities said.
Christopher Pierce had last been seen by family members on Saturday, according to Cherokee County sheriff’s Lt. Jay Baker.
Pierce’s father called 911 after finding his son dead Sunday night at the Misty Hollow Way home where he lived alone, Baker said.
“Investigators do not feel this is a random crime and believe the suspect or suspects may have known Pierce,” Baker said in an e-mail early Monday.
