A man was found shot to death near a park in northwest Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon.
Police received a 911 call about a body located in a wooded area along James Jackson Parkway near A.D. Williams Park, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The man, thought to be around 20 years old, had a gunshot wound in his shoulder and a gun was found nearby.
“They did locate a weapon near the deceased and at this point in time it’s still an open investigation,” Sgt. Ricardo Vazquez of the Atlanta Police Department told Channel 2. “We have no suspects, no person of interest in the investigation at this point.”
