Cobb County police are investigating a two-vehicle wreck that killed an 86-year-old man.

The crash happened the afternoon of Jan. 11 at the intersection of Chastain Road and Chastain Meadows Parkway in Kennesaw.

Dexter R. Leslie, of Marietta, died Sunday as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision, Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a news release.

Leslie was the front seat passenger in a gold 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by Maxine Clark, 84, of Kennesaw, according to police. Investigators said Clark was trying to turn left onto Chastain Meadows Parkway when she turned in front of a green 1999 Mercury Mountaineer that was traveling eastbound on Chastain Road.

Clark and Leslie were transported by ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Mountaineer, 67-year-old Kenneth D. Arneaud of Kennesaw, was not injured.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Cobb authorities at 770-499-3987.
