Marvin Leonel Sanchez has been convicted of kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated sodomy and "battery as the lesser included of aggravated battery" in a 2013 group attack on a woman.
Sanchez was sentenced Friday to life in prison for the kidnapping charge and 25 years to life for the aggravated sodomy charge.
The woman was lured into a Norcross Mexican restaurant’s parking lot in September 2013 by Sanchez and two other teenagers. She was beaten, raped and sodomized, and Sanchez — who was 16 at the time — urinated on her, according to the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s office.
At the time of the attack, the three teens were reported to be students at Norcross High School.
During Sanchez’s sentencing, Judge Karen Beyers said the case was the worst she had seen in her career as a judge and a district attorney.
