A Jonesboro man arrested Wednesday for the weekend hold up of a Clayton County cell phone store is suspected of other robberies in the south metro area, police said.
Clayton County police spokesman Eddie Soto said Anthony Paul Smith, 22, was charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with Saturday evening’s robbery of the Metro PCS store in the 8000 block of Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.
Soto said Smith is also facing robbery charges in Henry County and in the city of McDonough, as well as being a suspect in other Clayton County robberies.
