DeKalb police are looking for the owner of a malnourished dog that was left tied to a tree in the woods.
Officers found the pup abandoned near the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center in Lithonia on March 10, the DeKalb County Police Department said in a statement Tuesday. Police said the dog was extremely thin.
Anyone with information about the dog or its owner is asked to contact the department’s Animal Cruelty Unit at 404-294-2645.
The dog was taken to LifeLine Animal Project’s DeKalb shelter in Chamblee and is alive, but officials have not provided specific details on the dog’s condition.
