Loganville officials are thanking their local police force for helping the city rank as the 12th safest city in Georgia by Safewise. The city has been consistently ranked among the top 30 in this annual study.
To identify the 50 safest cities in Georgia, Safewise reviews FBI crime report statistics and population data. Cities that fall below identified population thresholds or that fail to submit a complete crime report to the FBI are excluded from the ranking system.
The evaluation is based on the number of reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape, and robbery) in each city. If a tie occurs, Safewise also factors in the number of property crimes (burglary, arson, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft).
Other Gwinnett cities making the list of ‘Georgia’s 50 Safest Cities of 2018’ include Suwanee at 14th, Braselton at 16th and Auburn at 37th.
