Locust Grove High School has been recognized by the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development for being a goal-setting public high school in the Go Build Georgia High School Team project. The workforce program met its goal of having half of Georgia’ public schools committed to the workforce development project by the end of the 2012-2013 school year. The program reached the goal at the end of last year. Locust Grove became the 168th high school to accept the Go Build challenge of promoting careers in skilled trades, hosting skilled trade career days, industry site visits and providing access to skilled trade workforce development materials.
