The Lilburn City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to pass an ordinance restricting the storage of recreational vehicles on property facing Main Street. RVs, boats, campers, trailers and other similar vehicles must be stored in a fully enclosed structure or otherwise not visible from Main Street.

According to the city, the new ordinance is “an effort to protect the integrity of Old Town.” Any existing vehicles will be grandfathered, though the city is not aware of any current violations. Mayor Johnny Crist said, “We want to make downtown a model, beginning with Main Street.”
