The Lilburn City Council on Monday awarded bids for installation of sidewalks on Main Street and Poplar Street in Old Town. The 5-foot-wide sidewalks will run along the Greenway Trail side of Poplar Street and along both sides of Main Street. There also will be a brick paver strip and decorative lighting on Main Street.
The addition of these sidewalks will provide full connectivity between Lilburn City Park, the Camp Creek Greenway Trail, Old Town shops, and the new city hall library. Construction is expected to be completed within 90 days. The sidewalk projects totaling about $652,000 are funded by SPLOST.
