At this week’s council meeting, the Lilburn City Council approved the municipal election schedule for 2017. Two council posts, those occupied by Eddie Price for Council Post 3 and Tim Dunn for Council Post 4, will be up for election. All council posts are at-large, meaning a candidate may reside anywhere in the city of Lilburn rather than in a particular district.

The Lilburn City Council is made up of a mayor and four council members. The council meets the second Monday of each month. Qualifying for the upcoming election will be held Aug. 21-23. This will be the first year the city has had a three-day qualifying period.
