The Lilburn City Council voted Monday to set qualifying fees for the Nov. 3 general election at $150 for mayor and $105 for council members. Positions held by Mayor Johnny Crist and Council Post 1, held by Teresa Czyz and Post 2, held by Scott Batterton, are up for election. Qualifying begins at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 31 and ends at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 4. The last day to register to vote in this election will be Oct. 5.

In order to qualify for the position of mayor or council member, one must reside inside the city limits for at least one year, be registered to vote, state which post you are qualifying and pay the qualifying fee.
