Every four years, each local city must review and adopt the county’s emergency operations plan. The plan ensures the county has adequate resources to respond to an emergency.

On Monday evening, the Lilburn City Council adopted the Gwinnett County plan, which includes an agreement with the city to plan and prepare in order to implement efficient emergency operations and to lessen the effects of emergencies and disasters.

Gwinnett and all its municipalities coordinate emergency prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery activities through the Gwinnett County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency.
