What was once the backyard arm-breaking proposition of trampoline dodgeball is now a chance at $20,000 in cash.
Sky Zone, the trampoline park franchise, has been holding qualifying matches for its 2017 Ultimate Dodgeball Championship, and its Kennesaw location is participating.
What is a 2017 Ultimate Dodgeball Championship? Teams play dodgeball in the trampoline park "combining the athleticism and excitement of traditional dodgeball with the thrill of a wall-to-wall trampoline court," according to Sky Zone.
If you think you can do that without falling on your face too much, the Kennesaw qualifier is June 4 at 6 p.m. Teams must consist of between five and eight people. Registration is $99.
The winning squad will travel to Chicago for the tournament, which takes place Aug. 3-6.
The final eight teams are guaranteed $2,750.
But the first-place group gets $20,000 cash and $30,000 worth of prizes.
