Applications are now being accepted for the second Leadership Snellville class.
The program, which will take place May 14 to July 30, graduated eight participants from its inaugural class last year. Class projects included creating large Christmas gift boxes for display on the Towne Green during the holiday season and the placement of a vending machine in City Hall.
The class is free and modeled after the Leadership Gwinnett program.
“This program was my vision to help create a better-informed citizenry and to get more people involved in the city,” Mayor Kelly Kautz said. “The previous class completed 11 weeks of classes during which it learned about everything from police services to city budgeting.”
