Lawrenceville to replace damaged wood utility poles

The Lawrenceville City Council recently approved a $100,000 on-demand contract for labor to replace wood utility poles that have failed inspection. This contract will be used on an as needed basis with the overall low bidder, Over and Under General Contractors Inc.

The city’s electric department will supply materials. Exact quantities of each item to be used was unavailable for bidding the contract since each pole is unique in size, and parts vary depending on the specific utility pole.

Funding for this contract comes through the city’s Electric Fund Contract Labor account.
