The Lawrenceville Police Department will hold a series of forums in order to strengthen the relationship between its officers and city residents.

The first forum is scheduled for Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. and will be held at the department's headquarters at 300 Jackson St. Future forums will be announced on the city website's meetings calendar.

The first forum will provide an overview of the services the department provides to the public. “Crime-related facts and strategies” will also be discussed, said Chief Randy Johnson in a statement.

“We are looking forward to engaging the public and building relationships with the citizens of this community,” Johnson said.
