Lawrenceville will host a Gwinnett transit referendum open house information session for the public at 5:30 p.m. March 4 at City Hall, 70 South Clayton St. This meeting will contain specific information to educate voters about the upcoming referendum on a new tax to pay for transit projects and MARTA expansion and how it specifically relates to Lawrenceville. Voters will decide on the one-cent sales tax March 19 with early voting starting Feb. 25.
Following the open house, Lawrenceville officials will move right into its regularly scheduled city council meeting at 7 p.m. The public is invited to stay for this meeting and learn more about the city’s activities.
