Lawrenceville City Council and the city’s mayor will consider a proposed $20 million mixed-use development on the site of the historic Lawrenceville High School.

The City View development would be on 7.5 acres at the corner of Culver and Crogan streets. Richport Properties, the project’s developer, is currently under a purchase-sale agreement with Lawrenceville’s Downtown Development Authority.

The project would feature 58 units: a mixture of single-family homes, townhomes, “cottages” and office space, according to a city release. It would be the only mixed-use development in downtown Lawrenceville and already has a waiting list for occupants, City Manager Chuck Warbington said.

The Cornerstone Development would reflect the “historic character” of downtown Lawrenceville, said Rick Porter, principal of Richport Properties, in the city release.

If the council and mayor deem the proposal favorable during their April 19 work session, it will be on the agenda for the May 1 city council meeting.

Correction: This story initially misstated the name of the proposed development. The development is called City View.
