Part of the southbound side of Lavista Road near the intersection of Fairoaks Road in the Decatur area will be closed for a time Monday.
Road resurfacing is causing the closure from 8 a.m. through 3 p.m., DeKalb County announced Friday. It’s part of the county’s $1.345 billion capital improvement program, through which workers have installed more than 4,700 feet of new water main on Fairoaks Road between Lavista and Oak Grove roads to improve area water service.
Motorists and MARTA passengers that use Lavista Road at the Fairoaks Road intersection should expect delays and plan for extra commuting time, the county said.
