An applicant seeking rezoning for a 1.25-million-square-foot distribution facility on Jackson Street in Locust Grove withdrew that request in advance of a scheduled public hearing at the Locust Grove City Council’s May 6 regular meeting.

A previous request to table the matter was granted in April, and the applicant sent a second letter dated April 30 with a formal request to withdraw both applications, to amend the city’s future land use map for the 29-acre site and rezone it from residential-agricultural to light manufacturing.

The council voted unanimously to withdraw the requests. According to city staff, the applications cannot be refiled for at least six months.
