Continuing city work will cause more temporary lane closures on West Peachtree Street next week, the Department of Watershed Management said Friday.

The closure of three northbound lanes will block the road between Abercrombie Place NW and 8th Street NW on Monday through Wednesday.

This continues work from late August, when two northbound lanes closed for a few weeks so crews could replace a sewer main along the busy Midtown road.

Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone, but drivers are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible, a press release said.

The closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
