One of the busiest streets in one of the most congested areas of North Fulton County will lose a traffic lane for about two weeks as Georgia Power does utility work next to the City Springs development in downtown Sandy Springs.

Beginning May 8, the far right (curb) lane of southbound Roswell Road between Mount Vernon and Johnson Ferry roads will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, Sandy Springs officials said. Roswell Road is four lanes wide at this point, and the work will affect a one-block stretch.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution while driving through the area. On-site message boards will be positioned ahead of the closure.
