Kennesaw State University has established a fund to help students facing financial challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Moving Forward fund provides direct assistance to students to pay for food, housing, tuition, books, transportation and other education-related needs, the university said.

A $250,000 allocation from the KSU Foundation and other university supporters has been contributed to the fund.

“At Kennesaw State, our students are our top priority and during these unprecedented times that means that we need to help those who, despite their best efforts, face unique challenges that put them at risk of not being able to finish their degrees,” KSU President Pamela Whitten said. “Through this fund, we are hoping to provide enough support so that no student will need to put their dreams on hold.”

Requests will be based on need and considered by a committee made up of representatives from various KSU departments. You can donate to or learn more about the fund by visiting its website.
