Kittens rescued from the fatal flooding in Louisiana last month are up for adoption as of Friday in a Cobb County animal shelter.
And they're as cute as you think they are.
Good Mews in Marietta reached out to Acadiana Animal Aid in Lafayette, Louisiana, to see if they could help.
"Because the shelter was taking in so many lost and displaced animals from the community, they needed to clear out some of their current shelter residents to make room," said Nancy Riley, who works with Good Mews.
Good Mews took 11 cats, including a 5-week-old kitten that went right to foster care, on a 12-hour van ride to Georgia.

The majority of the adult cats are now healthy and available for adoption.
The shelter showed off some of the rescued kitties in a Facebook Live video Friday morning. There was one aptly named "Lafayette," and one named "Dolly" was eyeballing squirrels outside. Dolly was living in an apartment with 20 other cats when she was rescued, and she's already been adopted.
And there was the lone male in the bunch, Napoleon. At first, they showed he was shy, but then they knocked on his cage and he'd pop up and walk around with his bedding on his back.
"He's a silly little guy," said Shelter Manager Lisa Johns in the video.
