A kitchen fire sparked that blaze that engulfed a north Fulton County apartment complex, Roswell Fire Chief Ricky Spencer said Tuesday.

Nearly 50 people were displaced Monday afternoon after the fire damaged at least eight units of the Concepts 21 complex on Old Holcomb Bridge Road. Firefighters from Johns Creek assisted with battling the accidental blaze, officials said.

One firefighter, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital, Spencer said. The firefighter was released Monday evening.
