The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash between a dump truck and a Nissan that left one person dead and another injured Wednesday in Douglas County.
Felix Butler, 34, was driving the dump truck traveling northbound on Ga. 166. Just after 9 a.m., the dump truck crossed the center line and collided with the southbound Maxima, GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson said. Both vehicles left the roadway.
The Nissan was trapped between the truck and several trees, Watson said. The Nissan’s driver, 37-year-old Kemonte Reid-Hill, was killed on impact. A passenger, 17-year-old Breanna Nicole Davis-Reid, was injured and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Butler was not injured.
