Candidates interested in running for one of Kennesaw’s three elected official positions may qualify for the Nov. 5 general election from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - but closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m. - Aug. 19-21.
They should register in the City Hall Training Room, 2529 J. O. Stephenson Ave., Kennesaw.
Qualifying fees are $576 for mayor and $360 each for at-large council posts 1 and 2 - based on 3 percent of the gross salary of each office.
Currently, the mayor is Derek Easterling, serving his first term.
Also serving the entire city are Post 1 Councilman James “Doc” Eaton and Post 2 Councilwoman Tracey Viars.
