Kennesaw will resurface six streets and a walking trail. The Kennesaw City Council voted Monday to hire Bartow Paving Company, Inc. for nearly $513,759. Most of the funding will come from the Georgia Department of Transportation at $273,847.

The remainder of $239,912 will be paid by the city with the walking trail at Swift Cantrell Park to be funded with the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.

Roads to be resurfaced:

Also, Lockhart Drive from Big Shanty Drive to McCollum Parkway may be resurfaced if there is enough money remaining after the other streets are completed.
