A Kennesaw Police Department officer takes some time to play a little football with the neighborhood kids.

On Sunday, the Kennesaw Police Department posted three photos and a video to their Facebook page of an officer taking the time to play a little football with the neighborhood kids.

The video has since garnered more than 24,000 views and several shares, with commenters sharing positive sentiments toward the law enforcement officer.

One commenter wrote: "... our children of color need more examples of what good cops look like, they are future cops in the making."

The department posted the video and photos after a tense week for the nation that involved the fatal shooting of two black men by police in Minnesota and Louisiana and then of five officers by a sniper in Dallas during a peaceful protest against police violence in response to the earlier deaths of the two black men.

Atlanta protesters called for a change and end to police brutality when they marched through downtown Atlanta Friday evening.

Atlanta's demonstrations, unlike the protest in Dallas, were mostly peaceful.

One protester told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a previous report that " ... more than anything, we are trying to build a positive relationship between us and police."
