The Kennesaw City Council will hold public hearings 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, Kennesaw City Hall, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Ave. on firework sales and other matters.

Among the proposed amendments and updates to the city’s Unified Development Code are to allow retail sales of consumer fireworks in certain districts.

Another proposal regulates maximum lot coverage and conversion of apartments to condominiums in the Central Business District.

Also, a new section, titled Form Based Code Standards, will establish new standards for Cherokee Street and the city’s Central Business District.

Copies of these amendments may be viewed in the Office of Planning and Zoning 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
