The Kennesaw City Council will hold public hearings at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Ave. on changing parts of the Unified Development Code.
Those changes would add terms, definitions and regulations regarding check cashing, pawn shops and payday loan and title loan establishments — upon the conclusion of the one-year moratorium.
Distance limitations are suggested of a minimum 1,000 feet between similar businesses and a minimum of 500 feet to residences.
Copies of these amendments may be viewed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays in the Office of Planning and Zoning.
Information: 770-424-8274.
