The Kennesaw City Council on Monday delayed a vote on a zoning change and variances for a $150 million mixed-use development at Cobb and Barrett parkways. Fuqua Acquisitions asked to amend the project to waive variances concerning stream bank and flood plain setbacks and add 260 multifamily units. The original plan included 30 townhouses. The developer also wants to decrease retail space by about 100,000 square feet to 340,00 square feet. Kennesaw annexed most of the Castle Lake Mobile Park in February for the development and will consider the changes at a planning meeting Jan. 29 and council meeting Feb. 16.
