The Kennesaw City Council agreed Nov. 6 to a lease agreement with Georgia Power to provide pedestrian lighting.

These 33 lights will be installed and maintained along Dallas Street, Watts Drive and Lewis Street.

Installation cost for the lights is $170,300.

Estimated monthly fees for maintenance of the lights will be almost $696.

The pedestrian lighting will accompany the new sidewalk system constructed during the Dallas Street/Watts Drive project with funding from the penny sales tax formally known as Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
