At about 9:20 a.m., officers got a report of a carjacking in the 5400 block of Winters Chapel Road, according to a news release.

The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle but was found “within minutes” by an officer.

Officer Y. Baum made the arrest without incident.

The juvenile is charged with hijacking a motor vehicle and aggravated assault, police said. He was taken to the DeKalb County Youth Detention Center.

Further information wasn’t released.
