Four years ago, 18-year-old college student Justin Gaines went to meet up with friends at Wild Bill's nightclub in Duluth.

He was never seen again. Gaines, a smiling, muscular teenager, was a freshman at the Oconee campus of Gainesville College in Athens.

His Nov. 2, 2007, disappearance gained national attention. Gaines was home on a weekend break from college when he vanished shortly after leaving the nightclub. Volunteers scoured the area, but he was never seen again.

Family members said Gaines made several calls to friends looking for a ride home that night. No one was able to pick him up. They believe someone may have offered him a ride and robbed or harmed him.
