A woman was killed early Tuesday when a mobile home caught on fire in Hall County, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to the 2500 block of Lee Land Road shortly after 1 a.m., Hall County fire spokesman Zach Brackett said. They discovered a single-wide trailer engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished by about 6 a.m., but 59-year-old Brenda Autry was found dead inside, Brackett said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On Saturday night, a 57-year-old was killed when a home burned down in Morgan County, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to the blaze in the 1300 block of Hardeman Mill Road in Good Hope just before 11 p.m. When they entered, authorities discovered the body of Stacy Malcom.

The cause of that fire also remains under investigation.

Fires have killed 62 people in Georgia this year, according to the state’s insurance and fire commissioner.
