This month the Cobb Board of Commissioners will hold three public hearings on the county’s 2020 millage rate and the county’s proposed fiscal year 2021 budget that includes no increase in the county’s millage rate.

The county building and meeting room at 100 Cherokee Street will be open to the public with social distancing protocols in place.

Those public meetings will be:

  • 2 p.m. July 13 - Commission Chairman Mike Boyce will present his recommended Fiscal Year 2021 budget during a special meeting of the Cobb Board of Commissioners (BOC).
  • 9 a.m. July 14 - First public hearing on the recommended budget and first public hearing on the current year millage will be presented during the BOC regular meeting.
  • 6:30 p.m. July 21 - Second public hearing on the recommended budget and second public hearing on the current year millage will be presented at a special called BOC meeting.
  • 7 p.m. July 28 - Third public hearing on the recommended budget and third public hearing on the current year millage will take place before the BOC adopts the millage rate and the budget.
