The Foundation of Wesley Woods will continue its long tradition of honoring philanthropists who have made ongoing contributions to helping older adults.
The honorees of this year's Heroes, Saints & Legends gala include: civil rights leaders Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Lowery and his late wife, Evelyn Lowery, retired Bank of America executive Merritt Steed Bond and attorney Edward "Jack" Hardin.
The 29th annual ceremony will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Flourish event space, located at 3143 Maple Drive in Buckhead. Single or group tickets range from $400 to $50,000, and are available here.

Funds raised through the event will benefit Wesley Woods, which serves more than 1,800 older adults each year at 11 communities in Georgia. Forty percent of those served by Wesley Woods live below the poverty line, according to a news release.
In 2017, the honorees included former University System of Georgia Chancellor Hank M. Huckaby, Ann Q. Curry of Coxe Curry & Associates, Bishop John H. Adams and Dr. Dolly Desselle Adams. That event was held at the St. Regis Atlanta.
