If you’ve ever grumbled while driving by a development in Johns Creek or remarked at how pretty a park was, the city is looking for your help.

The Johns Creek government Facebook page recently put out the call for volunteers to join some of its boards and commissions.

These are often the front lines in fielding issues that will eventually bubble up to the Johns Creek City Council and become law.

The city is looking for volunteers to join the following bodies: Arts and Culture Board, Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee, Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.

Those with the time and want can apply online. Those applications are reviewed by the council, finalists are recommended by the mayor and council members ratify the appointments.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Dec. 31. Those interested can learn more online.
