A proposed, $65.5 million budget for Johns Creek for the 2019 fiscal year contains four key priorities: delivering public safety, preserving city assets, improving mobility and connectivity, and sustaining stormwater infrastructure, the city announced.

The document, proposed by Mayor Mike Bodker, will be the topic of workshop sessions and City Council meetings at 5 and 7 p.m., respectively, on Sept. 9 and 23. To view it online: https://bit.ly/2MtvsY4

The public is invited to comment on the city's website, by email and on the city's social media channels. Information: https://bit.ly/32hmOQb

Personnel outlays remain the largest expenditure, at 42 percent of general fund, followed by operational expenditures at 27 percent, the city said. The largest revenues streams remain the local option sales tax (38 percent) and property taxes (30 percent).

“The proposed FY 2020 budget balances our ongoing commitment to completing necessary infrastructure maintenance and new capital investments benefiting our community long into the future,” Bodker said.
