Johns Creek’s mayor and city council members will conduct a workshop later this week to discuss the city’s recently-finished Recreation and Park Strategic Plan.
The workshop is set for 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Taylor Farms Conference room, 12000 Findley Road, Suite 300.
The plan should prioritize development of park and recreation facilities, programs and events over the next 10 years and covers topics such as the addition of multi- purpose athletic fields and indoor recreation facilities.
The plan comes on the heels of the city’s recent purchase of more than 150 acres of park land, including what’s considered a pivotal 20-acre site adjacent to Medlock Bridge Road.
