The Johns Creek Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with Atlanta artist William Massey and the Urban Catalyst Lab to bring Indian artist Hanif Kureshi to the city to design and paint the mural, officials said. It will be Kureshi’s first completed work in the U.S.

The CVB and Urban Catalyst previously asked residents to contribute their memories about Johns Creek to possibly become part of the tunnel mural. The tunnel extends under Medlock Bridge from the Johns Creek Village Shopping Center to Panera Bread.
