Johns Creek recruits new finance chief from West Coast

Johns Creek has named a municipal finance veteran and transit agency executive from California to be its new finance director.

Ronnie Campbell "brings more than 30 years of financial management experience with extensive knowledge and proficiency in municipal government," according to a city announcement.

Campbell most recently served as chief financial officer of the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink). Under his leadership, Metrolink’s Finance Department was awarded a Certificate in Excellence in Financial Reporting in 2016, 2017 and 2018, the city said.

Previously, while Campbell was director of finance for Camarillo, Calif., the city earned an Excellence in Government Finance Award for Financial Reporting and Budgeting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

Campbell has a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, from San Diego State University and a master's in organizational management from the University of LaVerne. Information: http://bit.ly/384Tcs7
