Johns Creek officers debut data portal

Johns Creek police have launched an open data portal which they said is the first of its kind in the Atlanta area.

The Policeview portal includes departmental statistics such as accidents and calls for service, community reports and details on the department’s progress toward key goals. Police chief Ed Densmore said it’s designed to maintain and improve citizen trust and transparency. The portal’s designed for academics and news media as well as residents.
