Those who missed the Johns Creek Building Permit Summit of March 5 will still be able to participate online as the city seeks feedback and comments from residents, contractors, businesses and other interested parties.

The city has required the same 22 types of permits since its incorporation in 2006, officials said. It now seeks public comment "on how the city can improve its permitting process and related requirements." The staff presentation from the summit can be viewed at: http://bit.ly/2HeefLI

Johns Creek currently requires permits for tasks ranging from addition, deck and demolition work to electrical, plumbing and swimming pool projects. Staff is recommending the removal of three residential permit requirements – for roof, fence and residing (siding) work.
